BRIDGESBringing
Religion Into Daily Growth, Experience, and Service
Our BRIDGES Covenant
We will nurture each other’s spiritual growth through common worship experiences, shared inquiry and service activities, and supportive interactions. The BRIDGES Vision and MissionThe BRIDGES Program of the First Unitarian Universalist Society projects a vision of congregational life with religious inquiry at its center. This religious inquiry is a lifelong journey of each with the support of all and an ongoing journey of all informed by the unique gifts of each. We envision a church family – adults, children, youth, couples, single parents, individuals – growing in the liberal faith together. Such growth, we believe, is grounded in experience and in experience-centered learning; in life lived as an intentional pilgrimage, an exploration of the present and its possibilities which leads toward a larger life for ourselves and for all, a pilgrimage that “reveres the past, but trusts the dawning future more,” a pilgrimage in which we make the road by walking. SUNDAY SCHEDULE

For the adults, the BRIDGES A (10-10:45AM) period is for adult RE sessions, committee and group meetings and other activities. The main advantage is greater potential for participation because more members and friends of the congregation will have access to these events. For this reason, we encourage other groups and committees to consider aligning themselves to this time slot. Currently, the following regularly scheduled meetings occur before BRIDGES A:
